POLARIZATION GLASSES TYPE STEREOSCOPIC IMAGE DISPLAY

PURPOSE: A polarization glasses type stereoscopic image display is provided to form a black matrix pattern and a black stripe pattern on both planes of a color filter array substrate, thereby widening a vertical viewing angle while minimizing decreases in an aperture ratio and luminance by decreasing the width of the black matrix pattern. CONSTITUTION: A polarization glasses type stereoscopic image display comprises a thin film transistor array substrate(110), a color filter array substrate(120), a plurality of black stripe patterns(165), and a patterned retarder(180). The color filter array substrate has a plurality of black matrix patterns(130) on a first plane facing the thin film transistor array substrate. The black stripe patterns are aligned correspondingly to the black matrix patterns on a second plane of the color filter array substrate facing the first plane.
