METHOD FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF A SOLAR COLLECTOR-ASSISTED UNIT CONVERTING SEA WATER OR DESALINATION-DERIVED SALT WASTE INTO DISTILLED WATER, SALT AND OTHER SUB-PRODUCTS

Novelty: A novel simple method for the construction and operation of a unit designed for the production of distilled water, salt and sub-products is disclosed. Technical features: The evaporation basin is manufactured from simple materials and is covered with a translucent or semi-translucent film. For significant increase of the production ability, solar collectors connected to said unit can beutilised as heat transmitter to the raw material. The invention is characterised by exclusive use of solar energy and synchronical production of two products (distilled water and salt). The exploitation of the solar radiation is achieved by both via the unit's section covered with translucent film and via hot water produced by the solar collectors whereto said units are connected for speeding up sea water or salt waste evaporation. No further treatment for the produced products before consumption is needed, since the translucent film increases and maintains temperature into the production area and protects this last form environmental pollution. The invented unit can operate either alone or in conjunction with an infinite number of sub-units operating all together as a complex (big unit) for the production of distilled water, salt and sub-products.
