PURPOSE: A route guiding device using a virtual world and a method thereof are provided to display a room, a corridor, stairs, an elevator, a road, and the exterior of a destination, where a user have to pass in a real world, by using the virtual world, so that the user can easily distinguish the places and the destination. CONSTITUTION: A route guiding device(100) using a virtual world comprises a virtual world generating unit, an avatar generating unit, and a route guide unit. The virtual world generating unit generates a virtual world(130) according to a distance between a user terminal(110) to a destination.
