<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary scaffold which incorporates a joint member that facilitates and reduces connection work to a support member and enables strong connection to the support member. <P>SOLUTION: An installation method of a temporary scaffold includes steps of standing a plurality of frame-shaped vertical planes constituting of support members that have a connection fitting on each side face and a horizontal joint member at a proper interval in parallel, connecting the support members facing each other between the vertical planes with brace materials, constructing a framework constituting of the frame-shaped vertical planes and the brace materials and horizontally laying one or a plurality of ledger frames with floors between the facing joint members. The joint member in the vertical plane includes a horizontal member and a pair of angle braces for supporting this horizontal member from an obliquely lower side, and both ends of the horizontal member is provided with hooking means for locking the horizontal member to the support member, and also the joint member has the angle brace provided with a wedge-shaped fitting at its lower end.
