<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of a vehicle which, when a shift lever is operated to reverse a traveling direction in the front-to-rear direction during traveling of the vehicle, can reverse the traveling direction of the vehicle in a shorter time period than in a conventional case. <P>SOLUTION: The controller is used for a vehicle having a speed changer and an electric motor. When a vehicle is traveling in its forward traveling position (step S2: YES), if a shift lever is operated to change its shift position from the forward traveling position to a rearward traveling position (step S1; YES), the controller changes the shift range of a speed changing mechanism from a forward traveling range to a rearward traveling range via a manual valve (step S4), reverses the direction of rotation of the electric motor during the change of shift range of the speed changing mechanism (step S5), synchronizes the electric motor with the speed changer (step S6), and performs regenerative-energy braking with the electric motor after the synchronization (step S7). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
