<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive device capable of reducing a burden of a clutch in extremely low speed travel, while restraining cost of the device from becoming high. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicle drive device includes: first gear trains (22-25, 27-30, 31 and 33) capable of shifting rotation of a first input shaft 21 and transmitting it to a first output shaft 26; second gear trains (37 and 42) for shifting rotation of a second input shaft 36 and transmitting it to a second output shaft 41 and having the gear ratio higher than the gear ratio of the first gear trains; an input-shaft-side switching mechanism 38 for switching the connection between the first input shaft and the second input shaft; an output-shaft-side switching mechanism 43 for switching the connection between the first output shaft and the second output shaft; a slide member 46 for sliding in response to switching operation of the input-shaft-side switching mechanism and the output-shaft-side switching mechanism; and an idler gear 47 rotatably held by the slide member and capable of transmitting rotational power of the first input shaft to the second output shaft in response to a slide position of the slide member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
