<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene-based resin composition for non-crosslinked foaming, giving a foam having a satisfactory foaming state such as high closed pore rate, small bubble diameter, uniformity of bubbles, and good surface appearance, and a use thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The polyethylene-based resin composition for non-crosslinked foaming has density of 930-960 kg/m<SP POS="POST">3</SP>and a melt flow rate at 190°C and 2.16 kg load of 0.1-20 g/10 min, and is strain-hardenable in measurement of elongation viscosity with a strain-hardening degree (λmax) of 2.0-30.
