<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength selection switch that can suppress occurrence of crosstalk despite its small-sized configuration in which a light collecting mirror is arranged in an optical path between a dispersing element and a deflector. <P>SOLUTION: A wavelength selection switch 1 includes: an input/output section having a plurality of input/output ports 10a to 10e each having an entrance/exit plane in a first direction; a light collecting mirror 14 in an optical path of a signal light from the input/output section; a dispersing element 13 that disperses the signal light reflected by the light collecting mirror 14; and a plurality of deflecting elements 16 arranged in the dispersing direction of the dispersing element.
