<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift device of a transmission enabling a plurality of juxtaposed fork shafts to be arranged compactly at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The shift device of the transmission includes the plurality of the juxtaposed fork shafts 2, adjacent supported parts 3 covering the outer surfaces of the plurality of the fork shafts 2 at two or more places distant respectively in their longitudinal direction, and a support part 4 demarcating a guide part 41 which is a space for inserting the adjacent supported parts 3 collectively to allow the plurality of the fork shafts 2 to move relatively in the longitudinal direction respectively independently. The guide part 41 is demarcated in a shape in which right cylinders corresponding to the number of the plurality of the fork shafts 2 are overlapped in a right angle direction relative to the longitudinal direction so that the axis lines of the right cylinders are inserted in the longitudinal direction.
