<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain cracks or chips of a frit glass seal material. <P>SOLUTION: A display device manufacturing method has: a display element formation step of forming a display element on a main face of a first substrate 10; a frit glass seal material applying step of applying frit glass on a substrate peripheral edge of the main face of the first substrate 10 or a second substrate 20 into such a polygonal frame shape that has plural straight line sections and the adjacent straight line sections extending and continued to each other without changing directions; a substrate laminated body formation step of forming a substrate laminated body by opposing the main faces of the first substrate 10 and the second substrate 20 to each other; and a frit glass firing step of firing frit glass 40a by independently radiating laser to plural straight line sections L1, L2 constituting a polygonal frame to which the frit glass is applied from ends a1, b1 to the other ends a3, b3, and adhering the first substrate 10 and the second substrate 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
