<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost brazing method which is a method for brazing an aluminum material without using flux inside an inert gas atmosphere furnace, has excellent junction properties, and can be applied to the brazing of a heat exchanger or the like for an automobile needing stable fillet formation capability. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for brazing the aluminum material without flux in an inert gas atmosphere, the aluminum material is a brazing sheet where an aluminum alloy brazing material containing 6-13% Si and 0.05-0.4% Mg, also containing one or more of 0.05-0.3% Zr, 0.05-0.2% Ce, 0.01-0.04% Be, and 0.005-0.03% Ca, and comprising residual aluminum and inevitable impurities is cladded on one side or both sides of a core material consisting of an Al-Mn-based aluminum alloy. The brazing is performed while forming a spinel type compound inside an oxide film of the brazing material surface during brazing heating to embrittle the oxide film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
