摘要 A liquid crystal display device and a driving method thereof are provided to improve image quality by changing the orientation angle of liquid crystal in the LCD according to the position of a user. An LCD device includes an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(10), a gate driver(12), a data driver(14), an adaptive gamma voltage generator(22), and a position sensitive controller. The gate driver drives LCD cells on a line basis. The data driver uses pixel data for respective lines to convert the pixel data into pixel driving signals by using gamma voltage sets, and supplies the pixel driving signal to the LCD cells. The adaptive gamma voltage generator generates the gamma voltage sets. The position sensitive controller divides the front of the LCD panel into plural viewing angle regions and regulates voltage level range of the gamma voltage sets to be output from the gamma voltage generator according to the viewing angle region where a user exists.
