The knitting has a column of meshes (3) and a set of mesh lines (4) that respectively define a set of chains (C) and a directional weaving unit (T). The directional weaving unit is arranged with an elasticity that is higher than elasticity of the chains. A thread is knitted in the chain mesh (5). Another thread is arranged along a mesh column (6). A third thread is knitted along the mesh column. The former thread, the latter thread, and the third thread are arranged as monofilaments in a biocompatible polymeric material. An independent claim is also included for an implant.
