The pulley has annular portions (A, B) whose external circumferences are prolonged by annular skirts. The portions are co-axially assembled with each other such that one of the skirts of the portion completely/partially covers another skirt of another portion. The portions are connected to each other by a spring placed in a cavity defined by the skirts so as to exert a compressive force in an opposite direction on the portions according to an axis in a plane perpendicular to/obliquely directed relative to an axis (X) of the pulley passing through the center of axial openings of the portions. The annular portion of the pulley is made of polymer material. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a pulley.
