An apparatus and a method for switching into a handsfree mode automatically in a mobile communication terminal are provided to perform a wireless communication function with a searched peripheral device when a terminal is received in the predetermined inner position of a vehicle and on a stand for the vehicle, thereby having no need to operate the terminal for wireless communication separately to improve user's convenience in using the terminal. A method for switching into a handsfree mode automatically in a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: checking whether a terminal is mounted in the inside of a vehicle(301); searching for peripheral devices capable of Bluetooth communication with the terminal(303); displaying the searched devices on a display unit and outputting a screen required to perform the Bluetooth communication with a specific device(309); detecting whether there is a request of connection with the selected specific device by Bluetooth(311); and performing the Bluetooth communication with the specific device(313). |
