<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery system capable of appropriately controlling charge/discharge according to a main factor causing high rate deterioration to a secondary battery, and sufficiently suppressing high rate deterioration due to charge and discharge of the secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: A battery system includes: a lithium secondary battery 100 housing an electrode body constituted as a wound body in which a positive electrode and a negative electrode are laminated through a separator in which an electrolyte is impregnated, in a battery case 10; and a control unit 200 connected with the lithium secondary battery 100. The control unit 200 has a function of controlling current input to the secondary battery 100 and current output from the secondary battery 100, and is configured so as to determine whether the high rate deterioration due to charge or discharge can occur or not in the secondary battery 100 on the basis of a surface pressure of a center and a surface pressure of an end of the electrode body measured through a wide face 18 of the battery case 10 by a surface pressure sensor 60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
