SUBSTRATE FOR BIO-ANALYSIS AND REACTION CONTAINER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for bio-analysis having a membrane for immobilization of organisms on the surface of the substrate which has a surface characteristic enabling nucleic acid fragments and fine particles carrying nucleic acid fragments to be immobilized at high density, and a reaction container excellent in operability including the substrate as one portion of the container.

SOLUTION: The substrate for bio-analysis comprising a base substance and the membrane for immobilization of organisms formed on the surface of the base substance is used for immobilizing the nucleic acid fragments on the surface of the membrane for immobilization of organisms using a liquid composition containing nucleic acid fragments and for performing analysis by the light emitted from phosphors bound to the nucleic acid fragments. The membrane for immobilization of organisms has an outermost surface layer mainly composed of inorganic compounds which have an isoelectric point exceeding the pH of the liquid composition.
