<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hypoallergenic compositions for animal consumption comprising a hydrolysate in a semi-solid formulation and methods for making and using such compositions for mitigating food allergy symptoms. <P>SOLUTION: A hypoallergenic food composition is produced by freezing, vacuum drying, spray drying, drum drying or freeze drying the hydrolysate that comprises polypeptides and free amino acids, subsequently by forming a semi-solid mixture comprising at least about 15% by weight water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
