Provided are a soft handoff method and device. The soft handoff method comprises: receiving a soft handoff request sent by a home access node, the soft handoff request comprising user plane information about the home access node and an identifier of an RNC; establishing a signalling connection correlation between the home access node and the RNC, and forwarding the soft handoff request to the RNC; receiving a soft handoff response returned by the RNC; and establishing a user plane connection correlation between the home access node and the RNC, forwarding the soft handoff response to an HNB by forwarding the user plane information, and forwarding user plane data. The technical solution of the present invention achieves a soft handoff process between a macro cell and a home access node cell. |
