Additive for selenium-containing feedstuffs consisting primarily of plants or plant constituents such as grain, corn, grass or lucerne, containing at least one inorganic salt for detoxifying trichothecene and/or zearalenone, wherein an alkaline or alkaline earth metal sulphite, and where applicable a selenium-containing salt, is included as an inorganic salt for detoxifying trichothecene and/or zearalenone.
