The desk has two tabletops (1, 3) provided two set of table-legs (2, 4) respectively, where the table-legs of one of the tabletops comprises a retainer (5) for retaining the table-legs of the other tabletop in a basic position of the desk. The latter tabletop is formed from an intermediate tabletop (9) and an extension tabletop (12) in an extension position of the desk. Stability components comprise foot portions that are formed corresponding to the table-legs of the latter tabletop. One of the stability components together with the former tabletop forms a support for the extension tabletop.
