Provided are an electrical wire provided with a terminal and a method for producing the electrical wire provided with a terminal that reduce product defects by suppressing the entrapment of air bubbles in a molded portion when, by means of injection molding, molding a thermoplastic resin composition at a region encircling an electrical connection section of a terminal fitting (14) and the electrical wire conductor (18) of an insulated electrical wire (12). The terminal fitting (14) is connected to the terminus of the electrical wire conductor (18) exposed by peeling an insulating body (22) at the terminus of the insulated electrical wire (12) configured from the outer periphery of the electrical wire conductor (18) being covered by the insulating body (22). The region encircling the electrical connection section of the terminus of the electrical wire conductor (18) and the terminal fitting (14) is, by means of injection molding, molded with a thermoplastic resin composition having a viscosity at 200°C measured in compliance with JIS K6862 of at least 5000 mPa·s, thus sealing the electrical connection section.
