The domestic refrigerating appliance (1) has an inner container with a coolable inner space for cooling an interior of the refrigerating appliance, where a pivotally mounted door panel (2) is provided for opening and closing the coolable inner space. A heat insulated insulating material is arranged between inner skin, outer skin and an end strip (8), where the end strip has a front, edged orifice relative to the door panel. The orifice is closed from the back with an insert section formed as a handle (15).
