<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detecting accuracy of a detection object while maintaining the detecting speed of the detection object. <P>SOLUTION: The detection device includes: an image generation part for generating a detection object image including a gradation value corresponding to the output of a sensor; and a detector for detecting the detection object from the detection object image, that is, a detector having a plurality of first type identifiers and a second type identifier which is higher in the detecting accuracy of the detection object than the first type identifiers. The detector operates a first arithmetic process and a second arithmetic process in parallel, and detects the detection object by using one first type identifier among the plurality of first type identifiers in the first arithmetic process, and detects the detection object by using the plurality of first type identifiers and the second type identifier in the second arithmetic process, and specifies the first type identifier which is the closest to the detection result of the second type identifier on the basis of the detection result of the plurality of first type identifiers and the detection result of the second type identifier, and updates the identifier which operates in the first arithmetic process to the specified first type identifier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
