PURPOSE: A cable fault diagnosis device of an EPB(Electronic Parking Brake) system and a method thereof are provided to supply accurate information for maintenance by storing a warning lamp lighting and a fault code. CONSTITUTION: A cable fault diagnosis device of an EPB system comprises a tension sensor(15), a current measurement unit(14), a warning lamp(40), and a control unit(12). The tension sensor is installed in an EPB actuator and outputs a load value of a cable. The current measurement unit measures and outputs a driving current value of a motor(13). The warning lamp turns off when a cable fault is determined in the control unit. The control unit compares a motor driving current value and the load value inputted from the tension sensor and the current measurement unit to a predetermined load value. The control unit measures driving time of the motor in order to determine the fault of the cable.
