DERIVATIVES OF SQUARAINE, DYE FOR DYE-SENSITIZED SOLAR CELLS AND DYE-SENSITIZED SOLAR CELLS

PURPOSE: A squaraine derivative is provided to ensure excellent optical conversion efficiency, and to obtain a high efficiency dye-sensitized solar cell. CONSTITUTION: A squaraine derivative is denoted by chemical formulas 1, 2, 3, and 4. A dye for dye-sensitized solar cells contains the derivative. The derivative has excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency by introducing phenothiazine or phenoxazine. The dye for dye-sensitized solar cells improves long-term stability and energy conversion efficiency.
