PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device, an alignment film, and methods for manufacturing the same are provided to increase orientation of liquid crystal molecules and reduce afterimages of the liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: A lower display plate and an upper display plate are manufactured. The lower display plate has a pixel electrode(191). The upper display plate has a common electrode. A lower plate alignment film includes a main alignment film(33) and an optical hardening layer. A surface optical hardening layer(35a) and the main alignment film are formed on the pixel electrode and the common electrode respectively. |
