A textile aftertreatment composition comprising (a) a skin-protecting oil and (b) urea and/or urea derivative; lactic acid and/or a lactic salt; citric acid and/or a citric acid salt wherein the composition is in the form of an emulsion. The composition is conducive directly or indirectly to the health of the skin and can be used as a supplement to the classical textile treatment compositions such as laundry detergents or fabric softeners.
