The magnetic thrust bearing has ring-shaped magnetic steel sheet arrangement in which the individual sheets (80,90,170) projecting outwardly in radial direction are provided. An electric coil is inserted into the electrical sheet arrangement for generating a magnetic field in the magnetic steel sheet assembly. All the adjacent sheets of two concentric electrical sheet rings (8,9,17) in arrangement collide on the inner circumference of respective magnetic steel sheet ring.
