<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide which is positioned highly accurately to the housing of the optical waveguide when a connector is manufactured by inserting the optical waveguide into the housing, and to provide the housing and the connector. <P>SOLUTION: The optical waveguide 2 serves as the connector 1 when inserted and assembled into the housing 3. The optical waveguide 2 includes: a core layer 6 having core parts 61a to 61f and side face clad parts 62a to 62g having a refractive index smaller than that of the respective core parts 61a to 61f; clad layers 5a, 5b which are disposed being in contact with both faces of the core layer 6, respectively, and have a refractive index smaller than that of the respective core parts 61a to 61f; and cover layers 4a, 4b which have a function of protecting the clad layers 5a, 5b, respectively.
