PURPOSE: A vehicle control system is provided to reduce the amount of fuel or electricity which is consumed in a driving source by suppressing the restarting of the driving source if the driving source does not need to restart in case an abnormality occurs in an electric oil pump. CONSTITUTION: A first driving source(1) automatically stops based on an automatic stop instruction if a predetermined condition is satisfied. A power transmission unit(4) is arranged between the first driving source and a driving wheel and delivers power according to a supplied fluid pressure. A first oil pump(10m) is driven by a power which is generated by the first driving source and supplies oil to the power transmission unit. In case the first driving source automatically stops, a second oil pump(10e) is driven by a second driving source which is different from the first driving source and supplies oil to the power transmission unit.
