PURPOSE: A control module system for providing an M2M service and a method thereof are provided to improve the reliability of products by preventing the malfunction of an M2M function caused by the failure of USIM(Universal Subscriber ID Module) recognition. CONSTITUTION: A device provides an M2M service and transmits a device registration request message after the completion of connection setting. A service server(110) performs authentication of the device and stores device profile information including M2M service provision information and device registration information. The service server obtains reference information for the device profile information from the user/device repository.
