PURPOSE: An audio processing method of a portable terminal and a device thereof are provided to improve the quality of audio by controlling sound pressure according to surrounding environments. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(190) calculates audio and sound pressure received from a microphone. The control unit determines the sound pressure state of the received audio based on the calculated sound pressure values. The control unit controls the input gain of the audio based on a determination result. A display unit(130) displays the determined sound pressure state information according to the control unit. A storage unit(140) stores the audio received from the control unit according to the control unit. The storage unit stores the determined sound pressure state information.
