METHOD FOR RECYCLING MICROENCAPSULATED CHOLESTERIC LIQUID CRYSTAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recycling a microencapsulated cholesteric liquid crystal.

SOLUTION: There is provided a method for recycling a microencapsulated cholesteric liquid crystal which includes a step of preparing a display medium material containing a microencapsulated cholesteric liquid crystal and a dispersant. The display medium material is mixed with a solvent to form a mixture at a temperature of 40°C to 60°C. The mixture is subjected to centrifugation to separate the microencapsulated cholesteric liquid crystal and the dispersant. Then, the dispersant and the solvent are removed to obtain the microencapsulated cholesteric liquid crystal.
