PURPOSE: A display device and a driving method thereof are provided to implement an image with low power consumption by decreasing the number of pixels relatively. CONSTITUTION: A display device includes a display panel(DSP) and an image modulator(IMB). The display panel includes a number of unit pixels comprising a red pixel, a green pixel, a dark blue pixel, and a sky blue pixel. The image modulator receives three-color unit image data constituted with red image data, green image data and blue image data from the outside, and converts the three-color unit image data into four-color unit image data constituted with red image data, green image data, dark blue image data and sky blue image data. The image modulator modulates the amplitude of the dark blue image data and the sky blue image data included in the four-color unit image data.
