<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breakwater fence with drift capturing function whereby, in a case of an emergency when being hit by waves with high tidal level such as high waves, high tides or tsunami waves, if there is collision of a huge amount of seawater, they can be blocked while reducing inundation, and drifts can be blocked and captured. <P>SOLUTION: Between support posts 2 and 2 is entirely installed with a breakwater plate 3, and also a plurality of wire ropes 4 connected to the breakwater plate 3 are spread laterally while being juxtaposed in the longitudinal direction. Such support provided by these wire ropes 4 prevents the lateral intermediate part of the breakwater plate 3 from being bent due to a collision load caused by waves and drifts, by which the function of the breakwater plate 3 is maintained. In addition, when the wire ropes 4 are stretched by the collision load made by the waves and drifts, energy is thus consumed and collision energy made by the waves and drifts is absorbed and mitigated, which makes it possible to continue to absorb the energy of waves and capture the drifts while avoiding the destruction of a breakwater fence 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
