<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyzer properly discharging a gas generated in the process of removing scale by use of electrolysis from a container, and to provide a heat pump water heater including the same. <P>SOLUTION: This electrolyzer 41 is used for the heat pump water heater including a water heat exchanger 21 for heating water, and is a device for removing a scale component contained in the water. The electrolyzer 41 includes: the container 47 having a water inlet 43 and a water outlet 45; a plurality of electrodes 51, 52 disposed inside the container 47; and a gas discharge part 70 provided in a position higher than the water outlet 45, and discharging the gas inside the container 47 outside the container 47 while blocking the discharge of the water inside the container 47. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
