<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera body capable of appropriately determining whether an optical system is in focus or out of focus as a result of focus detection. <P>SOLUTION: A first lens 3 can be attachable to the camera body via a lens adaptor 5, and a second lens, different from the first lens 3, is attachable to the camera body without the lens adaptor 5. The camera body comprises: a focus detection part 21 configured to detect a focusing state of the optical system; and a focusing range setting part 21 configured to set as a focusing range a range in which the optical system can be determined to be in focus. If a diaphragm value when a focus is detected by the focus detection part 21 has an open side value rather than a predetermined diaphragm value in the case where the first lens 3 is attached via the lens adaptor 5, the focus range setting part 21 sets the focusing range to a predetermined range. If the diaphragm value when a focus is detected has a diaphragm side value rather than the predetermined diaphragm value, the focusing range is altered according to the diaphragm value when the focus is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
