<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement wide range of necessary checking with respect to a check item accompanying a high load drive of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: Determining that a failure diagnosis can be implemented by at least a charge state of a power storage device 150 when implementing a failure diagnosis of an engine 100, an ECU 170 drives the engine 100, maintains the number of revolutions of the engine 100 same as the number of idle revolutions in an idle drive state by a first motor generator 110, and implements a failure diagnosis for a check item accompanying a high load drive by giving the engine 100 a high load. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
