PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a fabrication method thereof are provided to reduce a resistance difference between paths where a common voltage is supplied to a plurality of common lines, thereby preventing the disconnection of a line or damage to a thin film transistor. CONSTITUTION: A common voltage is supplied to a first gate metal(10) from the outside. A plurality of second gate metals(12) are extended from a plurality of common lines to one side. A source-drain metal(16) is parallel to a plurality of data lines at one side of a plurality of the second gate metals. A first connection pattern(18) electrically connects the first gate metal and the source-drain metal. A second connection pattern(20) electrically connects the source-drain metal and a plurality of the second gate metal. The first gate metal and the common line use the same electrical path.
