PURPOSE: A pitch control system and a control method for a wind power generation system are provided to accurately control pitch by using an angular speed and the pitch angle information of a generator. CONSTITUTION: A pitch control system for a wind power generation system comprises a first PI controller(100), a second PI controller(200), a control unit(300), and a driving unit(400). The first PI controller corrects a difference value(Gd) of a target angular speed(Gs) and a current angular speed(Gc) of a generator. The second PI controller corrects a difference value(Pd) of a target pitch angle(Gs) and a current pitch angle(Pc) of a blade. The control unit outputs control signals controlling the pitch angle of the blade. The driving unit drives the blade, thereby changing the pitch angle thereof.
