<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially advantageous method for producing conjugated diene capable of continuing operation stably by preventing contamination of fume into reaction gas drawn out from a cooling tower for cooling obtained reaction gas, in a method for producing conjugated diene such as butadiene by a catalytic oxidative dehydrogenation reaction of a monoolefin such as n-butene. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for producing conjugated diene in which a raw material gas containing a ≥4C monoolefin and a molecular oxygen-containing gas are subjected to an oxidative dehydrogenation reaction to be carried out in the presence of a catalyst to obtain reaction gas containing corresponding conjugated diene, and the obtained reaction gas is introduced into a cooling tower 2 to be brought into contact with cooling water and cooled, a plate part 2A is formed in the cooling tower 2, and the mass ratio between a flow rate of the reaction gas introduced into the cooling tower 2 and a flow rate of the cooling water supplied into the plate part 2A of the cooling tower 2 is set at ≤0.3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
