<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of improving stability of an image quality by shortening a time required for update processing of data for correcting output characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprising storage means for storing therein plural types of image formation patterns for reproducing a half tone and corresponding data for correcting output characteristics comprises: use pattern acquisition means which acquires from setting information of a supplied printing job an image formation pattern to be used for a job; and control means having a function of selecting, when the data for correcting output characteristic is to be updated, at least one type of image formation pattern out of several types of image formation patterns, on the basis of the use pattern acquisition means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
