<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cutting blade from being broken by a foreign matter except a book. <P>SOLUTION: A mechanism of pressing and fixing a book can keep a pressing unit 510 aslant while lifting it. Sensors 600 are disposed on both sides of a pressing unit 500 to detect a slope thereof. By detecting a slope of the pressing unit 500 when the foreign matter comes into contact with the pressing unit 500, the presence of the foreign matter is detected and a cutting process of the book is interrupted. When a foreign matter except the book gains entry or when the foreign matter gains entry together with the book, the presence of the foreign matter is detected and its process is interrupted before the cutting process, thereby preventing the cutting blade from being broken by the foreign matter brought into contact with the cutting blade. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
