POST-PROCESSING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve appearance of a finished booklet through square fold processing by suppressing a distinct fold line from being formed on a final piece of paper.

SOLUTION: A post-processing control unit 70 controls a superposition portion 30 so that middle folding for the final piece of paper can be performed together with middle folding for one or more pieces of paper P ahead of the final piece of paper. Since the middle folding for the final piece of paper is performed for the two or more pieces of paper P including the final piece of paper, the formed fold line becomes less distinct than in the case where the final piece of paper is singly subjected to the middle folding. Consequently, since the fold line formed by the middle folding hardly remains on a back portion, the appearance of the finished booklet can be improved.
