The device (1A) has a termination impedance module (1000) connected to a connection circuit (200) by a plug (15) when a high flow modem (M) is not connected to the plug. A mechanical disconnection unit disconnects the module when the modem is connected to a plug. The disconnection unit includes a female plug (T) and movable bars actuated by push of a male plug when the male plug is inserted in the female plug. The disconnection unit includes a female connector e.g. RJ31x and RJ45female connector, including the female plug and the movable bars.
