PURPOSE: A motor control device using a switching element is provided to consist of a half bridge and an inverter circuit, to rectify input power using a switching element, and to raise input power by driving the switching element at the time of overload, thereby simultaneously raising the input power, preventing the generation of over-current, and obtaining input factor improvement(PFC). CONSTITUTION: A motor control device includes an inductor(150) which reduces the harmonic current of the AC(Alternating Current) power and amends the power factor; a rectifying/raising voltage unit(200) which includes a plurality of switching elements, rectifies AC power by driving the switching element based on a first control signal, and raises the AC power by driving the switching element based on a second control signal; a smoothing unit(300) which smoothes and stores the DC(Direct power) outputted from the rectifying/raising voltage unit; an inverter unit(400) which includes a plurality of switching elements, coverts the DC power, which is stored in the smoothing unit, into the AC power based on a third control signal, and supplies the converted AC power to the three-phases motor; and a control unit(600) which controls the inductor, the rectifying/raising voltage unit, and the smoothing unit, and produces one of the first, second, and third control signals according to the load state of the inverter unit.
