A focusing lens 26 exhibits such imaging properties that a ray bundle 22a, 22b incident on the object side is focused on the image side to a focus 58a, 58b in such a manner that a principal ray 56a, 56b of the ray bundle 22a, 22b runs on the image side parallel to an optical axis 40 of the focusing lens 26 and with a lateral spacing A from the optical axis 40 that is variable in a manner depending on an object-side angle of incidence theta of the ray bundle 22a, 22b, and that an axial position B of the focus 58a, 58b is displaced in the axial direction z away from the focusing lens 26 with increasing object-side angle of incidence theta of the ray bundle 22a, 22b.
