<p>The present application relates to a game server for implementing a World Tour and a method for operating same, and more specifically, to providing a game server for implementing a World Tour having accurate match-ups and a method for operating same. A game server is characterized by comprising: a communication unit for receiving manipulations from each client, a plurality of which are connected via wire or wirelessly thereto, and transmitting data appropriate to each client; a control unit for controlling each component parts, and, simultaneously, acting as an input and ouptput passageway, and outputting data to the communication unit so as to display data to each of the plurality of clients on the basis of data entered via the communications unit; a storage unit for storing a unique identifying symbol for distinguishing each client, pre-World Tour information comprising skill points for previous seasons of a user controlling the client, information about a placement game which is played before the start of the World Tour, and information about the World Tour which is played in accordance with the results of the placement game; and a variable compensation unit for calculating pre-placement game initial skill points by means of the pre-World Tour information, compensating the skill points by multiplying by the multiplier which differ according to the order of the placement game, and when the placement game is completed, calculating the initial points with which the World Tour is entered.</p> |
