A refrigerator is provided with a thermal insulation cabinet, a pair of reinforcing-member attachment parts, and a bridge-shaped reinforcing member. The thermal insulation cabinet is configured into a box-shape, and has a thermal insulation material sandwiched between an outer plate for configuring the outside surface of the refrigerator, and an inner plate for configuring the inside surface of the refrigerator. The pair of reinforcing-member attachment parts are respectively positioned on the pair of inner plates which face one another inside the refrigerator. One end of the bridge-shaped reinforcing member is connected to one of the reinforcing-member attachment parts in the pair, while the other end thereof is connected to the other reinforcing-member attachment part.
